Our good friends at S2dio Fine Furniture have listened to our calls for a luxurious outdoor daybed complete with canopy and adjustable blinds. Let me introduce you to the Pierre daybed.
The Pierre daybed is a luxurious, 4-poster, teak daybed measuring 230cm wide and 220cm deep. Designed for two people to lounge comfortably, the seat cushions give each person 90cm of width to lounge, or 180cm for a family to gather.
Framing the Pierre daybed are reclaimed teak posts forming the elegant 4-poster bed-frame that hold up the frames for both the canopy and the base. Still maintaining a minimal look, the 4 posts are a solid teak post – sturdy and durable without looking too chunky.
As well as the seat and back cushions in the beautiful outdoor fabric in Sunproof Olefin, our teak daybed comes with 2 bolster cushions. Not only do these add comfort to your lounging experience, they are also a design feature – helping you to create depth, interest and texture when paired with patterned throw pillows.
The back cushions rest upon a sheet of aluminium that has been powder-coated in Royal Grey. Aluminium is a superb material for outdoor furniture because it is durable, strong and rust-proof. Behind the back cushions is a loop of fabric that slips through a gap in the aluminium sheet where you slot in a piece of teak that holds it all together. While this feature is an attractive addition to an otherwise simple back view of the daybed, it’s benefit to you is that your back cushions are secured, and they won’t flop forwards when it is windy.
Perfectly positioned, and running the depth of this four-poster on both sides, is a 25cm wide side table made from the teak slatted base of the daybed.
Fontelina 163 is our colour of choice for the Pierre four-poster daybed. It is a beautiful Olefin fabric with 2 colours woven together in a unique way to produce a shade that looks great paired with any colour. Olefin is a fantastic fabric for outdoor furniture. The interior cushion filling is quick-dry foam.
The canopy on top of the 4-poster frame is made of canvas, and it is a seamless canopy designed to be weather-proof from above.
